A Local Lab With a National Standard
Cryogenic Gases was founded in 1972 to do what most regional suppliers couldn’t: produce custom specialty gas mixtures locally, without sending orders away and waiting weeks for results. More than fifty years later, that mission is still the core of our business.
In 2010, our production and laboratory facilities underwent significant upgrades and were certified by an independent third-party agency to the highest quality standards. As a designated PurityPlus® producer, we operate under a consistent set of Standard Operating and Quality Assurance procedures originally designed and overseen by long-tenured industry consultants from Union Carbide and Praxair.
The result is ultra-high-purity gases and certified custom blends with the analytical rigor of a national supplier, the turnaround of a neighbor, and the accountability of a family-owned business that has been part of Detroit’s industrial fabric since 1937.
